    I established Innovation Age in 2008 as a consultancy providing expertise in insurance and innovation. I had previously enjoyed a long and successful career developing many new propositions in the financial services industry, including a number of "world firsts", and brought this experience to bear by providing consultancy services to help businesses of all types grow by exploiting the opportunities that innovation offers.

    I was also a registered and approved Growth Coach for the government-backed GrowthAccelerator scheme, providing expert, tailored advice to help ambitious businesses achieve rapid, sustainable growth.

    Experience & Qualifications

    Having completed a BSc in Computer Systems Engineering at the University of Sussex, I started by developing software systems that underpinned life insurance and pension products and quickly progressed within IT to lead major change programmes across general and life insurance in a variety of roles. This included supporting the launch of several new insurance products, implementing one of the largest CRM systems in the UK at the time and creating the world's first 'quote and buy' website for life insurance.

    I then completed an MBA at the Open University and took up a role specialising in innovation and new product development, gaining many years experience in setting the innovation agenda, using the tools and techniques that support real-world innovation and managing a wide variety of innovation projects. I put this experience to use developing complete pipelines of new innovative initiatives, firstly of on-line insurance propositions and then of business information initiatives in the Credit Services industry, before setting up Innovation Age.
