Starting with a list of the most promising ideas this step is where they combine to start forming one or more propositions. What we do is apply a series of builds and challenges to both bring the ideas to life and ensure the practicality of the resulting proposition(s). This is usually the most iterative of the steps as we search for exactly the right combination of ideas and in some cases it can result in returning to the Idea Generation step if no practical proposition(s) can be formed.
- Build: Emphasising the positive elements of the ideas and looking to further develop them beyond the initial thought
- Challenge: Searching for potential pitfalls in the ideas which could cause the proposition(s) to fail further down the line
- Repeat: Continuing the cycle of build and challenge, refining the proposition(s) along the way, until something that is well-formed and robust is agreed by all stakeholders
Innovation Age Product
We offer two alternative products; either a facilitation and stakeholder management approach whereby we oversee your team during this step or you can outsource the building of the proposition to us. Either way we deliver to you a clear articulation of the proposition(s) with associated buy-in from the key stakeholders.
Usually this step is undertaken in conjunction with an Idea Generation piece for a seamless journey from initial idea to agreed proposition(s).
